As a futurist, questions can sometimes hit at a random time. And as one into fashion, those two combined. The last trend was asked to myself, and I answered with the obvious: we'll all be naked. And it really came from the idea of we started naked. We didn't have much to work with in the beginning of human civilization. To keep warm, they would kill animals and use their fur or skin. Perhaps biblically, leaves to cover parts of the body. I am not religious, but if I had to go further back, I would assume that'd be the case. And usually, we all know things come in a cycle. Yet oddly, when in the start, the turnaround usually doesn't go back to the start. It usually turns around in the middle and goes forward, turns around again, and forward. So really, it's kind of moving at the pace of a shoelace loop, in a sense. But one thing about the shoelace: you will get to the end in where the two tips meet. And with so many loops and cycles through time of trends and fashion, we may take the biggest loop one day in the future. I may not be there to see it. My kids' kids may not. But if the civilization is going the way it is with AI and technology and robots predictably going to be the next civilization, I would assume if they take over and kill human civilization, they would be naked. And one of the robots may discover fabric from one of our corpses. Not to sound too hyperbolic, but these are things a futurist usually thinks of when he's given spare time.
Perhaps in the end the last fashion trend we'll all be naked
