# If you think style has anything to do with clothes, you have no idea what style is

The appetite of the eyes and ears dictate what appears on the plate. With all certainty, the purpose of style will have no identity without the individual knowing itself. And itself must know its path willing to take for its style to mold and drape at its journey's pace. Go grocery shopping, cook, and you see food appear. Go shopping for clothes, live, and you see your style appear. Nowadays, in a pool of trends where many drown, we forget the part to live. I'm not here to tell you to just wear clothes as long as you can for it to have life and give it wear and have stories to tell. Although that is one way to go about it, but there's another way where experience and consumption through other factions can mold your style without you realizing. You choose a raincoat when it's raining, but there's a hidden reason you chose a raincoat. Functionality also plays a role in style and what works and what makes sense at the time of need or usage. Durability may be a requirement in texture for a working man. A linen fabric choice can be a request when the season is humid and you are in need of breathability. But one of the beautiful things about style is its relation to personality, choice of direction, certain movements, and comfortability choices. Style can come from a mood where you choose colors from your emotion. And of course, you have no thought of this, but in your mind, while making a decision of what you want to wear, it is one of the numbers in the equation that you put to find its equal. These are like invisible choices we kind of cannot see, but are there. And we think of places we are going and if the outfit can relate to said place or the people around it. Maybe you choose to go against that place and do the opposite, or want to choose to blend in, but in your own way. These are choices we make when digging in the closet and making a choice on what to put on, put over, or lay to the side of us. Movement can play a part, as in where you may have gone outside with the cap in front, yet you find yourself playing a game of baseball and you turn it to the back for better visibility and comfortability. Or can also just be a style choice that can kind of motivate you and in your mind boost your chances in winning. These are beautiful instincts that are happening before our eyes at times that we kind of ignore when it happens or brush it to the side. But it is what created the meaning of style. Someone had to choose to break a rule or twist something in the mundane to appear stylish amongst everybody around him. It was never the clothes. The clothes are just choices to make it happen. Even a naked person is in style due to the choice of not wearing nothing. So when looking for personal style, remember, understand who you are, how you live, what you do, choices you will make, and choices you already do make, and add that all up. And let your hands be the magnet to all the fabrics you own and develop that style of yours.
